Kim & Nathan came to me a while back, looking for relaxed and informal coverage of their wedding at Kingston Country Courtyard near Corfe Castle, Dorset. They set a date close to Christmas, and once i saw the venue all lit up in the evening i could really understand why. The place itself is lovely at any time of year, however something else is added to it by way of fairy lights and a mahoosive Christmas tree in the barn.
From the outset, you could tell the day was as they hoped it would be - relaxed, fun and full of love. The guests were, once again, brilliant to be around and i thoroughly hope they enjoyed the occasion to the full.
Set amidst rolling countryside, with a view towards Corfe Castle, Kingston Country Courtyard offered them the perfect backdrop and preparation area for the whole day. Keeping everything in one spot is always a smart move if it's possible. There is less stress and less travelling. With Kim & Nathan as horizontal as they are naturally, i thought it couldn't have been a more perfect choice.
Between booking the date and the wedding itself, Kim became pregnant, adding a beautiful bump into the equation - Quite simply, she looked stunning. Whilst Nathan, a member of her majesties Royal Air Force, was fantastic at hiding any nerves he may have had and he too looked the part in his Blues. I wish them both the most harmonious ride through parenthood!
One thing that always pulls at the heart strings is when the Bride and her father have a dance (as Kim and her dad did), it reminds me that every bride was (and always will be) someone's baby girl - something i appreciate with my 5 year old ginger ninja. I think it's a beautiful way to round off the day before the dancing commences in ernest and it usually puts a lump in the throat.
It is an honour to work with such wonderful, welcoming and witty people on such momentous days. Here's to the happiest of marriages for Kim & Nathan!
