Studland Bay House is a stunning Edwardian property, overlooking Knoll Beach and Old Harry Rocks along the coast of Dorset. It's one of my favourite venues in Dorset, offering a plethora of locations to shoot in and it creates such a relaxed backdrop to any wedding, that it's a pleasure to be there for the day (or over a weekend).
Imogen & Aidan chose the venue for those very same reasons and they chose to hire some of Dorsets finest wedding suppliers to boot!! From Rodeo events (who did a wonderful job setting up the grounds, the marquee & catering), Parley Studio & Tara Sanger for Hair and Make-up, Evertide who performed during their ceremony and the magnificent MK and the Misters, who performed two sets throughout the day. I'm in the fortunate position that i'm able to choose those couples i feel comfortable enough to work with, thus getting those key natural shots. Imogen & Aidan are one such couple that oozes joy, love, happiness and a damn fine sense of humour. I didn't have to say a word to them as i took their photos, they were just perfect.
From meeting them to working with them on the day, it was bliss. It is a massive help when you know that the people they have employed to accompany the day, are superb at what they do - there are very few nervy unknowns as a result; allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the occasion. The weather, although biblically hot, was on our side and the sunset was a glorious denouement to the day as the band fired up.
It is always a privilege and a pleasure to shoot at Studland bay and i look forward to many return visits in the future. I wish Imogen & Aidan the finest of lives together and i hope to see them again one day!
