I've said it before, but this 'job' is wonderful at reuniting bonds that have come apart by virtue of time - in other words, i get to see people i haven't seen for ages!
My Godmother contacted me some while ago about taking photos for her daughter's Wedding. Jenny, her sister Sarah & brother Mark, were a large part of a section of our childhood - days that had become hazy with age, but were still there in the memory. As it was, i found watching Jenny get married to her lovely husband (also called Mark) a very special moment, it joined the past with the present.
Jenny & Mark decided that they wanted to keep their wedding all within one area, so no travel time or stress was involved... just a short walk from the ceremony at Poole Guildhall, to the reception at The Antelope, just down the road. It worked out perfectly for them. The weather was better than most typical British summer days, their guests were in good spirits and as far as i could tell, everyone had a fantastic time throughout the day.
Jenny and Mark are a very relaxed couple, nothing seems to phase them. I guess, when you're totally in love, even weather that threatens to cook everyone like a 'boil in the bag', is to be seen as the better alternative to the rain. Their insatiable smiles, comforting persona's and all round amiability, make them truly wonderful company. We made use of the quay, the quiet cobbled streets and the architecture of the old town, something to reflect where they celebrated their marriage.
I sincerely wish them every happiness in their life together, it was my pleasure to be there for those special moments on their special day.
