Weddings such as that of Lucy & James' are so much fun to be involved with - when the guests are 'in the moment', the bride is as cool as a classy cucumber from Cambridge and the groom plays a bit of football in the morning on the lawn to calm the nerves... you know you're dealing with good eggs.
Both Lucy and James were a huge pleasure to spend time with, completely in Love with one another (good job they were getting married!) and they totally embraced the joy of the occasion. The bridesmaids and groomsmen too were relaxed, approachable and beautifully dressed... the whole day, set against the backdrop of Lucy's parent's home, was perfect.
Backing onto the river running through Spetisbury, the gardens offered the guests a stunning backdrop to their merriment; with the heat of the day causing one to stop and consider a dip in the shallows. However, until my court appearance regarding my last 'dip' has been and gone, i must refrain from such endeavours hohoho! (of course, there is no court case).
Upon arriving at the house from the ceremony at Spetisbury Church, a bagpiper had been arranged to welcome the newlyweds to their reception; an echo of Lucy's fathers heritage - it certainly added to the occasion.
I hope that the day was everything they could've hoped for and i wish them both a lifetime of laughter and happiness, it was an honour to be asked to shoot for them.
