Sometimes a wedding will come along that not only encapsulates the spirit and love of the Bride and Groom, but also that of their family and friends. Ross & Adele's Wedding at Kingston Country Courtyard was one such wedding.
From first thing in the morning, you could tell everyone was on top form and hugely excited at the prospect of celebrating the union of two wonderful people. With such a large guest list, it was bound to be great fun, loud and thoroughly enjoyable.
I've got to say that i loved their approach to everything. I mean, It's not often you'll see Pass the Parcel as part of the wedding ceremony, or shots to toast the speeches, and i'm all for it! The more out of left field something is, the more it suggests the day to be about the Bride and Groom and what they want... which is exactly what it should be.
I've seen many gestures of love from one to another during speeches - Large gifts from the Groom to the Bride (or vice versa), surprise holidays, a new car... you get the gist. What Ross and Adele had done left many in the room stunned. Let's face it, If you're going to tattoo your name on the inside of your bottom lip, it's bound to cause a stir. Fair play i say - i'm a big fan of a tattoo - life's too short not to do these things... plus, it was bloody funny to see everyone's reactions.
Ultimately, there were some very poignant moments throughout the day, some that caused raucous laughter, others that brought tears - but it all meant something. It was, in a humble photographers opinion, an absolute delight to witness and to capture. The speeches were awesome, very funny and very moving in equal measure; delivered with the conviction you can only hope for.
Ross & Adele did themselves and everybody there, very proud. I hope they embrace their married life with as much love, enthusiasm and courage as they approached their wedding day. I wish them a long and happy life together.
