When Jason & Sarra came to me to talk about their wedding photography, i could see straight away that i was dealing with two very genuine and kind hearted people. By the time their wedding day came around, that suspicion was confirmed.
Every single wedding i photograph means something special to me. If it didn't, i'd have to consider changing my career. In particular are those weddings where it is a relaxed (not necessarily informal) but comfortable, happy... almost peaceful.
You can tell the mark of the people you are working for when you talk with their guests. In this instance, they too were an absolute delight to be around and talk to and they each had a lot of love for the bride and groom.
Now then, in the morning i visited each of them alternately as they were getting ready either at the venue (bride) or at a pub nearby (groom... of course) - so it was easier to get coverage of everything as the morning went on. As hairdressers and make up artists came and went, the day gradually unfolded.
The ceremony and the reception were held at Merley House, an impressive and imposing double fronted building set just outside Wimborne. There is plenty of space here for guests to mingle outside (as they did) and for the bridal party to snoop on who had arrived and what was going on outside.
The day, guided by Sam at Merley House, went beautifully. Everyone, from the venue staff, the chefs and the make up artist to the bar staff and guests, were on good form - delivering a day that i think both Jason & Sarra had envisaged some while ago.
The venue had been decorated with balloons, flowers and little flourishes that made it their own. There were delicate, sentimental touches here and there - considered acknowledgement of those that couldn't be present and there were plenty of things to keep people happy and entertained. There was such a good vibe about the place!
All in all, I hope the day was everything Sarra & Jason wanted. I hope they look back on it with tremendous fondness and i hope the years are kind to them, giving them the happiest path to tread together.
