Christchurch based couple John & Sheryl came to me in 2014 looking for a photographer for their wedding day. I've got to say that i found their excitement entirely contagious and uplifting. They're a great couple, totally in Love and totally right for each other. Whilst John's high emotions are similar to my own, Sheryl's laugh is one that is absolutely encouraging and catching - i find myself laughing even thinking about her laugh, it's so heartfelt.
So, on the day of the wedding, i ventured over to their home to capture the bridal party's preparations, an abundance of wonderful giggles and beautiful smiles. Sheryl is highly organised and this was reflected in the time she arrived at the venue. I've must say that i agree with the principle of 'I'm ready, i've got somewhere to go to, i may as well go now!' - and it made her the earliest bride i've seen at a wedding - it was lovely to see her so excited.
The ceremony was spot on, and reflective of their combined joy and love - perfik!
The guests were a joy to speak to, with John's daughter making it extra special for him (having a daughter myself it choked me up to see them together and what it meant to John). The sense of humour amongst them all was awesome, right up my street and just what was needed on a sunny afternoon in the summer.
The Old Vicarage in Christchurch is a lovely venue, set amidst flower clad gardens and literal acres of space for little legs to run about. The building itself is very characterful and indicative of current styling and decor trends... again, ideal for a 2015 wedding.
We were fortunate with the lighting throughout the day, blessed with warmth in the sun and cool in the shade and a sunset that gave wonderful light rays through the gardens and ceremony room.
Sheryl, John and all their guests were so much fun to be around, i'd like to thank them for choosing me as their wedding photographer! I wish them nothing but happy days, lots of laughter and mutual harmony.
Thankyou! Darren x
