I wrote a whole blog about the importance of having family photos together, of how the value and ever-lasting nature of photos cannot be underplayed. The text waffled on about getting families to realise this... but then it occurred to me that people don't want to acknowledge the finite nature of our existence. It's no fun, i get that.
So, instead, i'll leave you with these photos of the darling Bennett Family, who made the choice to have some photos together. Jill has unfortunately been diagnosed with Cancer and has been given particularly shit (i never normally swear in Blogs, sorry) news regarding her treatment and outlook.
Having captured over 160 weddings, dozens and dozens of family portraits, movies for my own family and others, THIS was the most moving and worthwhile thing i have done in my working life - FULL STOP
We created a film together along with the photos, which will give them something to look back on for many years to come. It included interviews with everyone from Grandparents to Grandchildren. Did i cry? You bloody bet i did. However, it reminded me of the longevity of the work i'm so fortunate to do and the incredible people i get to work with. It is with love that i do what i do. It was with love that i worked with the Bennetts.
My best wishes, love and thoughts go to the Bennett Family at this difficult time.

Old age should burn and rave at close of day,
Rage, Rage against the dying of the light" xx
